Instructions

  1. Study the online preparation and do all the tasks and exercises by hand. Start here.
  2. Request feedback about reps, checkpoints and assessment tasks before you attend class.
  3. Take your live class with a teacher using the A Mark 30 Live Class format.

Your teacher will use the following feedback comments as you work through the assessment tasks in this module.

You can write an effective preparation point sentence with a chart about an amount of something.
You are able to formulate an introduction for a chart about an amount of something.
You have demonstrated awareness of Comparing Formula #1.
You have demonstrated awareness of Comparing Formula #2.
You displayed the ability to combine point sentences and comparisons from a given plan.
You made occasional errors in spelling, but they did not detract from communication.
You showed awareness at this stage of the need to vary lexis in your comparison sentences.
You know the steps to write a point sentence with a chart about an amount of something, but you confused the word “amount” with the measuring word.
You spent a little too long making point sentences with charts about an amount of something. 
Some of your point sentences were inaccurate.  You need to go back and do some extra practice with different tasks.
You need more practice using Comparing Formula #1.
You need more practice using Comparing Formula #2. 
You mixed up the two formulas at times. 
You began to understand how to combine point and comparison sentences by the end of the session. 
You made some errors in spelling which were noticeable at times.
You need to learn how to write a point sentence conveying information about an amount of something.
You spent too long making your preparation point sentences with amounts of something.
You need to write down and learn Comparing Formula #1.
You need to write down and learn Comparing Formula #2.
You need to catch up so that you can begin to combine point and comparison sentences.
You made quite a few spelling errors which sometimes took away from your communicative message.
